Paramount Pictures After Charmed (P1)

in 2009 Paramount Pictures produced The Lovely Bones, a supernatural drama based on th best selling book of the same name by Alice Sebold. directed by Peter Jackson and produced by Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh, Carolynne Cunningham, and Amiee Peyronnet. While the film was based on the best selling book, it was adapted into a screenplay by Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh and Phillipa Boynes. The film was shot by Film4Productions and WingNut Films, and distributed by Paramount Pictures. With a budget of $65,000,000, the film only generated $116,616 in box office in its first week, because of its limited release the film was placed at 13thy on the box office chart for that week. As of 2010 though the film had grossed $50,717,618.

Before Charmed, Paramount Pictures made many hundreds of films, including The Truman Show, with a budget of $60,000,000 the film was dubbed "the most expensive art film ever made", taking a box office of $264,118,201. Producers waned the film to be more funny and less dramatic.The film was shot on location and in sound stages at Universal Studios. The film received critical acclaim, as well as criticism. The film has been the subject of intense study and many interpretations into its story have been made. the film was named one of the top 10 most prophetic science fiction films of all time. The film was directed by Peter Weir, and produced by Edward Feldman, Scott Rudin,  Andrew Niccol, and Andrew Schroeder.The original screenplay was written by Andrew Niccol, the first fifteen drafts of the script was rejected before it was eventually deemed fit to film. The film was made by Scott Rudin Productions and distributed by Paramount Pictures

JUNO

Juno is a 2007 comedy drama directed by Jason Reitman and starring Ellen Paige. The film had a low budget of only 6.5million dollars, which would not pay the salary of the star alone in a major blockbuster film. Although this film is independent it earned back its budget within 20days of release and went on to earn a total of 231million dollars. Juno was filmed in and around Vancouver and British Columbia, a normal house and high school were used in the film. Juno was filmed over a 30day period from February to March 2007, Juno was filmed out of sequence except for the last scene which was filmed on the last day.Juno was first screened at the Telluride Film Festival on the first of september 2007, Juno was officially premiered on september 8th at the Toronto Film Festival and received an exceptionally long standing ovation. The film then went on to feature at the London, Rome, Rotterdam, Palm Springs Gijon, ST.Louis and Stockholm international film festivals, Juno was nominated and won awards at most of the festivals it premiered at, taking several awards for best picture and best actress, as well as this Juno has been critically acclaimed, winning an oscar and a bafta for best original screen play, and was nominated at the oscars for best actress, best director and best picture. Juno was supposed to open in cinemas on December 15, 2007, it was moved forward to take advantage of the positive reviews and buzz preceding its release, and opened in seven cinemas in L.A and New York on 5th December. It opened in thirteen more cities and 25 more cinemas on December 14, and then was released worldwide on Christmas Day 2007.
